Bratislava

A few weeks ago, we decided to take a short day trip to another country! The closest country is Slovakia and so one Saturday, we hopped on the train and rode for about an hour and crossed the Austrian boarder. We sat next to a nice couple from Brazil and Carli immediately started drawing them pictures. When we arrived in Bratislava, we really had no plans other than we knew there was a castle that we wanted to see. So we found a really good pizza shop and ate a good lunch and then with a mixture of English and German, we found directions to the castle. It was a beautiful day so we walked around the castle, took a few pictures and then got back on the train and came home. It was a great day!

When we were on the Vienna Studies program, Marissa and I use to go to Bratislava fairly often to buy food and eat pizza. It was a bus ride back then. They have a big K-mart with a Little Ceasars in it. We never even really got around the town to do much exploring... I remember seeing the castle on the way into town, though, on the bus. Keep posting and talk to you soon.
