Carli's party

We had a lot of fun on Saturday with Carli's birthday party. There were a total of 8 little girls and we decorated fairy wings. I had made the wings before the party and they looked like this...

Then the girls got to take their own set of wings and

decorate them with ribbon, glitter and jewels.

This birthday party was a little different and difficult for me. First of all, it was all in German which was very stressful. The girls would ask me how to do something on their wings, and I didn't know how to answer them. No one knew what cupcakes were (they called them muffins) and not very many of them liked the raspberry lemonade that I made. All of my favorite people who have been at every single birthday party for all of my kids were not there this year. It was a strange feeling and it hurt my heart. But then I would look at Carli's face laughing and smiling because she was surrounded by all of her new best friends, and I was reminded that this party was not for me... it was for her and she was having a blast. I am constantly amazed at how well she is doing here and how quickly she has made so many friends. I am so very proud of her.

Happy Birthday Carli!

Carli turned 7 years old today! It is hard to believe that she is so old! She is really growing up quickly and I am so proud of how well she is doing here in Vienna. She is having a party tomorrow with 9 little Austrian friends, so there will be plenty of pictures tomorrow. But for today, here is what we did....

She started her 7th birthday with Minnie Mouse pancakes in bed

It was a great day and now it is time for all of us to go to bed!

He's Home

Caleb got to come home today! He was able to sleep last night without oxygen, and his levels stayed where they should be, so we got to bring him home. We are very excited and are so thankful for all of your prayers. Praise God!

Prayer

If everyone could say a prayer for Caleb right now, it would be greatly appreciated.
Since we have moved to Vienna, Caleb's asthma has been amazing. He has had no problems at all, and we have even lowered the amount of daily medicines that he takes. Yesterday, he woke up with a slight cough. I checked his lungs and they sounded fine. We took him to school and by the afternoon, his oxygen levels were at 83%. (That is horrible, especially for a child his age.) Josh and Carli were on a father-daughter retreat so I took Caleb and Cotter to the emergency room and they admitted him and he is now spending his second night in the hospital, suffering from a severe asthma attack. His oxygen levels were back to normal today and he did not need to be on oxygen anymore. He has had a lot more energy today and I think that they have the attack under control. Hopefully he will be home tomorrow. Please pray for him.
