Ballon Hotel

Last weekend, we went on a team retreat to a hotel just outside of Vienna. There are a lot of hotels that call themselves "Kinderhotels" which means kids' hotel. At these hotels, they provide lots of extra things specific for kids. I was so impressed with all of the things they had. My personal favorite were the bathrobes that were folded on each of the kids beds.

They had a playroom in the dining room where the kids played while the parents actually had uninterrupted conversation. They brought the kids food out first which was also very nice. It was a great hotel for our team to spend some good time with each other. We were able to relax and play volleyball and football together and spend time in prayer and singing as well. It was a much needed retreat!

Birthday Party

Cotter decided that he wanted to have a Spiderman themed party. Thanks to Josh's trip to the States, we were able to get some party supplies. Here are some pictures from the party...

Easter Market

One of my favorite things about Easter in Vienna are the Easter markets. They are similar to the Christmas markets, just with lots of eggs instead of ornaments! This year, we went to the one at Schönbrunn palace. 

Happy Birthday Cotter

Cotter just celebrated his 4th birthday! It is so hard to believe that he is 4 years old! We enjoyed a great family day on his actual birthday and then had a party last Saturday. So, here is what we did on his big day...

As soon as he woke up, he went on a scavenger hunt to find a new scooter! Now he can keep up a little better with Caleb and Carli.

He opened lots of great gifts from family and friends...

We had waffles for breakfast and then he went outside and played all afternoon in the flower garden behind our house...
Then for dinner, we grilled cheddar-ranch burgers and roasted marshmallows to make smores!

VBS

I am so behind on updating the blog! We have had a busy week. The kids are off of school this week and we celebrated Cotter's birthday and lots of other things. We are leaving today to go on a team retreat, so I will post more when we get back. But for now, here are a couple of pictures from a VBS that our kids went to. There is a high school group from Georgia that comes to Vienna every year to put on a VBS for the kids at the youth center. Our kids love going and they love the attention from all the students.
