We made it!

We arrived safe and sound in the United States! We are enjoying time with Josh's family and friends in Woodward right now, then we are off to Colorado to be with my family! The kids are having fun swimming and playing with the kittens. We had a wonderful 4th of July with a great party on the 3rd, then listening to George W. Bush speak on the 4th! We listened to a few songs from Marty Stuart and watched some more fireworks! Here are a few pictures from our first week here:

Hopefully we will get to see many of you during our time here!

Picking Cherries

We have a cherry tree in our backyard, so today we picked them! It was so much fun and now
I can't wait to make something with them. These are by far the best cherries I have ever had!

Update

We have been pretty busy lately, so here is are a few random pictures for you...

My kids discovered a new way to blow bubbles while washing their hands!

Caleb was pretty tired and fell asleep while watching tennis with Daddy...
We hosted a seminar at the office and enjoyed time with friends...
One of those friends brought his new puppy and he was a big hit... especially with Caleb!
And Cotter thought that it would be a good idea to throw himself away!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! After breakfast in bed, I got the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen! They are my new favorite flower.

I mean... look at these!

Then, Josh surprised me with babysitters so he and I could go get some coffee at my favorite cafe. This cafe has furniture designed by local artists and it is also available to buy! I love it!

Then, we spent some time on these cool benches they have outside of the Modern Art museum.

Then we went out to dinner with the kids. The weather was absolutely beautiful, so we ate outside!

I hope that all you moms out there felt as special as I did!

Purple Carrot?

Has anyone ever seen a purple carrot before? This was a first for me! It tasted very much like a normal carrot, but it turned my mouth purple!

Caleb's New Hair

Here is a picture of Caleb's new haircut. He loves the spikes! He really wanted a mohawk, but that is where I draw the line!

Mom's day out

Last weekend, I participated in a "Mom's Day Out" seminar. It was a wonderful day put on by Hearts at Home. They have been coming to Vienna for the last 7 years to provide a day for moms to relax and be refreshed and listen to other mom's give advice as to how to raise our children in a Godly home. Jill Savage, the founder of Hearts at Home, was the main speaker. She was a wonderful speaker and I was really encouraged. So, while I was gone all day, Josh and Jake and another friend Wolfgang took all 7 of our kids to an amusement park! 7 kids... 3 dads... and a great time!  All 3 of our kids rode their first roller coaster (which probably wouldn't have happened if the moms took the kids to the park)! They had a blast!
